Men’s Track and Field Kick Starts Outdoor Season With Six Event Victories

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Cornell men’s track and field team opened up the outdoor campaign at the Penn Challenge on Saturday. Brad Morell (discus and hammer),  Ryan Antwi (triple jump), Josh Green (long jump), and Adam Martinson (3000m), and Joseph Rachiele (Javelin) earned victories in their respective events.

Morell put on a couple of great performance, as he earned two event-victories coming in the discus (46.44 meters) and the hammer throw (64.51 meters). Rachielle bested the field by nine meter in the javelin with his score of 52.22 meters. Martinson paced his way to a time of 8:31.09 in the 3000-meter run. Josh Green leaped to a mark of 6.61 meters to take first in the long jump. Also in the jumps, Ryan Antwi earned a win in the triple jump by recording a 13.86-meter decision.

Four Cornellians collected personal bests. Those athletes are listed below:

Thomas Foster – 1500m (4:08.20)

Brad Morell – hammer throw (64.51 meters)

Noah Harman hammer throw (46.91 meters)

Mannie Arbabi – discus (13.46 meters)
