PRINCETON – The Princeton Baseball Team takes on the No. 16 North Carolina Tar Heels this weekend at Boshamer Stadium.
 
First pitch Friday is set for 4 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday will begin at 12 p.m. Each game will be streamed on ACC Network Extra. You can login to the ESPN app to watch if your television provider has ACC Network.
 
Princeton is 1-2 this season after a three-game set vs. the UNC Wilmington Seahawks. Jake Koonin led the squad with four hits along with four RBI. Justin Kim paced the pitching staff, collecting a victory last Saturday after six innings of work. Nick DiPietrantonio hit the team’s only home run of the weekend.
 
North Carolina is 7-2 this season with victories over Wagner, Elon, East Carolina, VCU and Longwood. Casey Cook (1.323) and Alberto Osuna (1.274) have an OPS over 1.000 for the Tar Heels. Cook is hitting a team-best .444 while Osuna has five home runs and 13 RBI. In two starts, Folger Boaz has 1.86 ERA in 9 2/3 innings of work.
 
The Tigers are 9-30 in program history against the Tar Heels with the last meeting coming in 2013. Princeton’s last victory against North Carolina was in 2003.
 
Robert H.B. Baldwin ’42 Head Coach of Baseball Scott Bradley played baseball at North Carolina and was a two-time All-American. In three seasons, Bradley hit .335 with 24 home runs and 144 RBI before being selected by the New York Yankees in the third round of the 1981 draft.
