PRINCETON – There have plenty of Princeton Tigers playing summer ball, however Tom Chmiewlewski and Jacob Faulkner have stood out earning All-Star selections in their respective leagues. 

Chmielewski has been pitching in the prestigous Cape Cod League for the Harwich Mariners, producing a 2.88 ERA in five starts. In 25 innings, he has struck out 18 and allowed just five walks. Faulkner is playing for the Green Bay Rockers of the Northwoods League and selected as a Great Lakes Division All-Star. The sophomore has appeared in 19 games, striking out 37 batters in 36 2/3 innings, securing a 4.91 ERA.

Here’s an update on the other summer Tigers … 

Matt Scannell – Harwich Mariners – Cape Cod

 Scannell played in 21 games for the Mariners, producing 14 RBI, five stolen bases and a .312 on-base percentage before an injury. 

Nick DiPietrantonio – Boone Bigfoots – Coastal Plains

DiPietrantonio saw action in five games before an injury for the Bigfoots, producing a home run and three RBI along with two stolen bases.

Caden Shapiro –  Martha’s Vineyard – NECBL

Shapiro has played in 19 games for the Sharks, producing a .254/.348/.356 slash line. He has seven RBI and five stolen bases for Martha’s Vineyard.

 

Andrew D’Alessio –  Vermont Mountaineers – NECBL

D’Alessio has appeared in seven games, making three starts. He’s has 14 strikeouts in 13 1/3 innings.

Justin Kim – Brazos Valley Bombers – Texas Collegiate League

Kim has pitched in seven contests, throwing 11 2/3 innings with 12 strikeouts and a 3.08 ERA.

 

Kaden Kram – Seguin River Monsters – Texas Collegiate League

Kram has played in seven games and has scored three times.

 

Jake Bold – San Luis Obispo Blues – California Collegiate League

Bold is hitting .273 for the Blues with a home run, eight RBI and five stolen bases.

 

Jake Kernodle – Tarp Skunks – Perfect Game Collegiate League

The incoming freshman has two home runs and 12 RBI along with 13 walks in 18 contests for the Tarp Skunks.

 

Tommy Googins – Tarp Skunks – Perfect Game Collegiate League

The Class of 2027 member has produced a .286 average in 63 at bats, corralling 17 RBI, 14 walks and nine stolen bases.

 

Elliot Eaton – DC Grays – Cal Ripken Collegiate League

Eaton, a member of the Class of 2027, has 11 strikeouts in 12 1/3 innings for the Grays.
