Big Red Qualifies 14 For NCAA Track and Field Prelims
ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell track and Field has earned the right to send 14 of its athletes to Jacksonville, Florida to compete in the NCAA Eastern Preliminary Round. Lauren Jones (long jump), Victoria Atkinson (pole-vault), and Skyy Johnson (long jump) will be representing the women. Christian Martin (110-meter hurdles), Tomas Kersulis (400-meter hurdles and 4×400 relay), Domenic Barresi (4×400 relay), Michael Mazero (4×400 relay), Joshua Gittens (4×400 relay), Damian Hackett (1500-meter run), Brad Morell (shot put, discus and hammer), Smith Charles (long jump and high jump), Perry Mackinnon (5000-meter run and 10,000-meter run), Vicentejordan Vanderlipe (pole-vault), and Shane Racey (pole-vault) will be representing the men.
These athletes have all put on strong performances throughout the outdoor season, earning themselves a bid to compete and make their mark against national competition. Athletes are set to take the course on Wednesday, May 24th at 10:00 a.m. ET from the University of North Florida.
