Hamilton ’88 Named Baseball America Tony Gwynn Award Winner
PRINCETON – Greg Hamilton ’88 has won the Baseball America 2022 Tony Gwynn Award, the organization announced.
The Tony Gwynn Award is a lifetime achievement award Baseball America gives annually for lasting contributions to the game. The award is named after Gwynn, who not only had a Hall of Fame playing career but was also a successful coach at his alma mater of San Diego State.
Hamilton has worked at Baseball Canada for over 30 years and has led the men’s national baseball team for 23 seasons. He’s managed to the senior team to two Pan Am gold medals.
Hamilton played hockey and baseball at Princeton before graduating in 1988.
