CORAL GABLES, Fla.- The Princeton baseball team faced the Miami Hurricanes in the final matchup of the four-game weekend series.

Miami got on the board in the bottom of the first with a single while loading up the bases. The Hurricanes then got to work with a grand slam to make it a 5-0 ballgame. Another run was tacked on thanks to a throwing error in the bottom of the third before Jacob Faulkner came in for relief for Liam Kinneen.

Nick Shenefelt ended the no-hitter bid with a single to left in the top of the seventh but was left stranded.

The Hurricanes added two unearned runs in the bottom of the frame before Faulkner put an end to the stanza with a strikeout. He ended his outing of four innings of work with two punchouts and did not surrender any earned runs.

Justin Kim finished out the day and kept Miami at bay with a scoreless inning as the final score stood at 8-0 in favor of the Hurricanes.

Princeton will head to North Carolina next weekend to take on Maryland and No. 13 Wake Forest in Winston Salem.
