Trio of Women’s Squash Players Gear Up for 2025 CSA Individual Championships
ITHACA, N.Y. — Three members of the Cornell women’s squash program will participate at the 2025 College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships, which begins Saturday morning in New York City.
Sophomore Xin Ying Yee and junior Aishwarya Khubchandani will be vying for a national championship, competing for the Ramsay Cup. Fellow junior Alysa Ali will be one of eight athletes in the Holleran East bracket.
Yee, who saw her season-opening eight-match win streak come to a halt last Saturday against Penn, will have a first-round matchup against Colby’s Laavanya Kugan (4-1) on the No. 1 court at Open Squash — FiDi at 9 a.m. Khubchandani (5-4) will have a first-round match against Princeton’s Emma Trauber (6-1) at approximately 9:50 a.m. on Court No. 5 at Open Squash — FiDi. Ali’s (5-4) quarterfinal match will be against Denison’s Charlotte Jones (8-2) at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Former Cornell squash standout Sivasangari Subramaniam ’23, the No. 10-ranked player in the most recent Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Rankings, lost her first-round match at the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions at Grand Central Terminal in New York City on Thursday afternoon, falling to No. 30-ranked Amanda Sobhy of the United States in five games, 11-4, 4-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-9.
