Baseball Unveils 2025 Schedule – Harvard University
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University baseball will make road trips to the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida, play in the annual Baseball Beanpot, and compete in 21 Ivy League games as part of its 2025 schedule, which begins on Feb. 21, Bill Decker, The Joseph J. O’Donnell ’67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball, announced on Wednesday.
Highlights from the Crimson’s schedule include three trips to the South during non-league play, its first Ivy series at Penn (Mar. 22-23), its home opener vs. Holy Cross (Mar. 25), its first Ivy home series against Yale (Mar. 29-30), The Baseball Beanpot, the final series of the regular season at home vs. Columbia (May 3-4), and a hopeful berth in the four-team Ivy League Tournament (May 16-19).
Harvard opens its 2025 season with three games at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina as the Crimson takes on Fordham (Feb. 21), Northwestern (Feb. 22), and Indiana (Feb. 23).
Remaining in the South, the Crimson plays a three-game series against Michigan State (Feb. 28 to Mar. 2) at Fluor Field in Greenville, South Carolina before playing at perennial SEC contender and 2024 Men’s College World Series participant, the University of Florida, in a three-game set from Mar. 7-9.
Harvard makes its debut in the Northeast with a three-game series at Northeastern (Mar. 15-16) before playing at Bryant (Mar. 18). The Crimson then opens Ivy League play with a three-game series at Penn (Mar. 22-23).
Playing at O’Donnell Field for the first time in 2025, Harvard hosts Holy Cross in its home opener on Mar. 25 before hosting Yale for a three-game series from Mar. 29-30.
Following a semifinal matchup in The Baseball Beanpot with Massachusetts on Apr. 1, the Crimson plays a three-game set at Dartmouth (Apr. 5-6).
Harvard then plays its next seven games at home with a three-game series against Princeton (Apr. 12-13), a mid-week matchup with Stonehill (Apr. 15), and a three-game set with Cornell (Apr. 19-20).
Closing out the regular season, the Crimson competes at Brown (Apr. 26-27), in the championship round of The Baseball Beanpot (Apr. 29), and in its final home series of the season against Columbia (May 3-4).
The Ivy League Tournament will feature four teams for the third straight year in 2025 with the top four teams in the conference playing at the No. 1 seed from May 16-19. The tournament will follow the format used at the NCAA regionals with the winner of the event earning the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA Championship.
The 2025 NCAA Baseball Championship will begin with regional play from May 30 to June 2 before the super regionals from June 6-9 and the Men’s College World Series from June 13-23. The NCAA will announce the field on May 26.
