Baseball Introduces Seven-Member Class of 2028
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University baseball will welcome seven incoming first-year student-athletes as a part of its Class of 2028 for the 2025 season, Bill Decker, The Joseph J. O’Donnell ’67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball announced on Monday.
Harvard’s Class of 2028 comes from across the continental United States and Canada with two student-athletes from Arizona, and one each from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, and the Canadian province of Ontario. The group gives the Crimson balance across the diamond with three pitchers, two infielders, one outfielder, and one catcher.
The incoming class includes left-handed pitcher Luca Alagheband (Toronto, Ontario), left-handed pitcher Charley Bergsma (Naples, Fla.), right-handed pitcher/outfielder Daniel Sams (Atlanta, Ga.), infielder Gavin Smith (Queen Creek, Ariz.), infielder Cullen Stone (New Milford, Conn.), right-handed pitcher Owen Tahnk (Newburyport, Mass.), and catcher/first baseman Liam Wilson (Chandler, Ariz.).
