Baseball’s Fang Earns All-ECAC Honors
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University baseball sophomore right-handed pitcher Callan Fang has earned All-ECAC honors, the Eastern College Athletic Conference announced.
The 2024 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year, 2023 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, and a two-time First Team All-Ivy selection, Fang led the Ivy League in strikeouts (83), while ranking second in the conference in strikeouts looking (20), fourth in opponent average (.236), fifth in innings pitched (64.0), and sixth in ERA (4.64).
During Ivy League play, he paced the league in strikeouts (59), while standing third in opponent average (.196) and fifth in ERA (2.89). A CSC Academic All-District selection this spring, Fang also contributed at the plate as a designated hitter, hitting .345 with 19 hits, eight runs, seven RBs, and a home run. In conference play, he hit .333 with 15 hits, seven runs, five RBIs, and a homer.
For the season, the Crimson earned at least one win against all seven other Ivy teams.
