Reed, Fang Earn Harvard Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by The COOP
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Softball senior Anna Reed and baseball sophomore Callan Fang are the Harvard Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by the Harvard COOP for the period of May 7 – 14.
Anna Reed, Softball
The Crimson’s star pitcher was superb at the 2024 Ivy League Tournament. Across a staggering 26.2 innings pitched, Reed posted a stellar 1.05 earned run average, striking out eight batters in the process. Reed also earned a spot on the Ivy League All-Tournament team.
Callan Fang, Baseball
Sophomore right-handed pitcher/designated hitter Callan Fang hit .556 at the plate, while posting a 3.86 ERA on the mound last week against Yale. As a batter, he went 5-for-9 with two runs, and as a pitcher he tossed 4.2 innings, allowing three runs – two earned – on two hits with three strikeouts. Fang went 2-for-5 with a run in game one and finished 3-for-4 with a run in game two. Starting on the mound in game three, he limited the Bulldogs to a .143 opponent average over his 4.2 innings.
