Women’s Tennis Names Three to CSC Academic All-District Team
ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell women’s tennis put three representatives on the 2024 College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday. The trio marks the most Big Red women’s tennis honorees all-time. Lauren Stein repeated after receiving the honor in 2023, and Jenny Wong and Emma Baker joined her.
Student-athletes must be sophomores academically and athletically and appear in at least 70 percent of completed matches during the season to be eligible while meeting a GPA requirement.
Stein, a Hotel and Restaurant Administration Management major, posted a 3.77 GPA while earning a 10-8 record in singles competition. The second-team All-Ivy honoree also grabbed 13 doubles wins. Wong, an Applied Economics and Management major, boasts a 3.94 GPA. The junior earned a team-high 17 doubles victories this season. Baker, a Biological Studies major, has a 4.11 GPA. The sophomore went 13-10 in singles contests and sealed 12 doubles victories for the Big Red this season.
