EUGENE, Ore. — School record holders Beatrice Juskeviciute (heptathlon) and Marguerite Lorenzo (high jump) finished the 2021-22 campaign as first team All-Americans as the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field championships concluded on Saturday afternoon at Hayward Field. The Big Red women’s team scored four team points to place them tied for 45th.
Juskeviciute finished a career-best seventh to earn her third All-American nod in the heptathlon and her second first-team nod. She racked up a school record 5,721 points in the seven events and closed strong, finishing in the top seven in each of her final two events of the weekend. Juskevicute was 18th in the long jump (18-2 1/2), but jumped into first-team All-America territory with a third-place effort in the javelin (148-4) and a seventh-place effort in the 800m in 2:17.45 for 872 points to take out her old record of 5,697 points.
Lorenzo tied for sixth after clearing 1.83m (6-0).
