Women’s Ice Hockey Announces 2023-24 Team Awards
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell women’s ice hockey team announced its yearly team awards at the team banquet on Saturday, April, 20. The Big Red concluded a special 2023-24 season with an Ivy League title, NCAA regional finals appearance, and had its first-ever Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winner in program history when Izzy Daniel was named the recipient.
Below are the 2023-24 Women’s Ice Hockey Team Awards:
Class of ’41- Rookie of the Year —– Annelies Bergmann ’27
Robert D. “Bob” Brunet ’41 – Most Valuable Player—- Izzy Daniel ’24
Kate Hallada ’83 – Most Improved Player—- Georgia Schiff ’26
William F Fuerst Jr ’39 – Cornell Big Red Player of the Year—- Rory Guilday ’25 – The player who represents Cornell Women’s Hockey as a well-rounded individual, on and off the ice, and in the community.
Helaine Fisher Hebble ’84 – Unsung Hero—-Kaitlin Jockims ’25
TGHA Cub Club Mentor—-Gabbie Rud ’25 – The player who went above and beyond the call to be a model for her little sister and contribute to the TGHA.
