#8 Men’s Squash Beats Rochester, Improves to 4-0

ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 8-ranked Cornell men’s squash team posted an 8-1 victory over Rochester at the Belkin Squash Courts on Tuesday night, opening the year with four straight victories.

Veer Chotrani (No. 1), Arnaav Sareen (No. 3), Spencer Yager (No. 4), Rohan Iyer (No. 6), Tanay Punjabi (No. 7), and Morgan Huberman (No. 8) all claimed straight-set victories for the Big Red.

Humza Khan (No. 5) and Nicholas Göth-Errington (No. 9) won four-set matches for Cornell.

Khan fell in the first set of his match against Jacob Koeppel, 11-7, but was able to take the next three sets to claim the victory, 11-8, 11-8, 11-4. Göth-Errington was edged in the third set by Alejandro Porras Diaz, preventing a straight-set victory for the native of Sweden.

Looking Ahead

Cornell returns to the court on Wednesday, Nov. 30, for its final match of the 2022 portion of the schedule when it travels to Geneva, N.Y., to face Hobart. Start time for the match is scheduled for 6 p.m.
